Principal's Welcome |
Scoil Mhuire Ballymore Eustace has been in its current location since 1956. In 1993 Ms Mairead O Flynn became Principal of the school after Michael Conway retired. There were 211 pupils enrolled in the school at that stage. Many renovations had been carried out in the school from 1956 to 1999 and then the Minister for Education approved an extension to the rear of the school. The school extension consisted of 8 new classrooms, a PE Hall, new offices. This allowed the school to be re oriented with new Special Needs Rooms and a new Library. The extension ran to a cost of £1.5 million with the community contributing £25,000. Bishop Eamonn Walsh performed the official opening of the school in 2004.
Scoil Mhuire celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2006 and has been serving the community of Ballymore Eustace proudly under the guidance of Ms Mairead O Flynn. Ms O Flynn retired from Scoil Mhuire in June 2017 after 24 years at the helm. |
