CHRISTMAS HAMPER DRAW - 17th December 2021

After missing out on a Christmas Hamper Raffle in 2020, our annual draw was back with a bang this year! There were a grand total of 21 prizes donated by local businesses - a super response! There was a terrific response from parents and locals too who bought enough tickets to raise an amazing €1,515 for the school. Thank you to everyone who supported the raffle and thank you to all the members of the Parents Association who helped out.

AGM 21st October 2019:
Quick Update - 

There was a great turn out for out AGM held on Monday 21st October.  It was great to see a few new faces in attendance. Treasurers and Chairpersons Reports were read out highlighting the work that was done during the year 2018-2019.
Peter Roche Principal was in attendance was at hand to answer any questions that were posed on the night.  
There was a fruitful discussion in regards to parents issues and a wishlist for 2019-2020.
The Parents Representatives for the Board of Management were elected on the night;

Rosario Power  HSE Psychologist, joined at 7.30 pm and there was a very informative discussion in regards to how to support our children's well being and to help them in building resilience.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 21st OCTOBER 2019

Parents Association Annual General Meeting is due to take place this Monday 21st October @ 6.30pm in the school library and refreshments will be served. 

This is a great opportunity for parents to have an input into what they would like to see in the school.  Also you will get to meet your new principal Mr. Peter Roche.

Election of Parents representatives to the Board of Management will happen on the night.

The AGM will be followed by a discussion for parents with HSE psychologist Rosario Power, who will be talking about how we can support our children's well being as well as building resilience in our children.

Scoil Mhuire Parents Association, are looking forward to our Golf Classic which is being held
in Tulfarris Golf Club on Friday 20th September. A small selection of morning tee times are still available!

We are overwhelmed by the support of the community and we would like to thank
those who have entered teams, provided prizes and sponsored tee boxes on the day.

Following the Golf Classic during the day, prize giving will be held in Paddy Murphy’s with
kick off at 9.30pm. Tom O’Rourke will be our MC on the night and as well as prize giving, a
silent auction will be held. Some of the amazing items for auction include:

A signed Rory McIlroy pin flag from the Congressional US Open in 2014.
A signed wedge by 3 time major winner Padraig Harrington
A 4 Ball for the K Club
Powerscourt Distillery Experience for 4 people to include 4 bottles of Fercullen Whiskey

Information

Scoil Mhuire’s Parents Association has been set up for a number of years.  It is affiliated to the National Parents Council Primary, who provide resources for parents on their website at www.npc.ie 

All parents / guardians of children attending Scoil Mhuire are deemed members of the Parents Association. 
 
The Parents Association was set up to provide a structure through which parents/guardians of children attending Scoil Mhuire can work together for the best possible education of our children.  The Parents Association works with the Principal, Staff and Board of Management to build an effective partnership between home & school.   
 
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is usually held around October each year.  The parents on the Committee are elected at the AGM.   We meet every 4-6 weeks during school term in the school Library, and please feel welcome to get involved.  You also can contact any committee member on an issue of interest to parents.  If you wish to make contact with the Parents Association this can be done by emailing  [email protected] and we will get back to you.
